BENEVENUTI, BIENVENIDOS, BONO VENIENTE

BENEVENUTI A ROMA!!!!

I had a great day. I arrived at Rome at 9:30ish in the morning at FCO airport. From there, I did customs (after picking up my baggage, and they barely looked at my visa before stamping) then continued going. At the main lobby the private cars were asking me if I needed a taxi, I said no thank you and walked out to where the real taxis were. I got a nice Italian lady as my taxi driver. At first we we spent ten minutes to figure out where in Rome my address was. After repeating the address we discovered in was in the Janiculum and we were on our way. 50 euroes later I found myself at the Intercollegiate site. The secretary Lavetizia explained everything to me and gave me my keys. After I settled in my room and unpacked, I had to call my mom. However, she gave me the wrong numbers so I managed to find a friend Malory Ryan who was up at 5am Eastern time to call my house and to get my mom to get on facebook so I could speak with her. After that, I went out to a pizzeria with some of the kids at the center (btw the pizza is pretty good though is not at all what Americans might be used to). Later, I took a nap from 1-6pm. Then went out to dinner with 9 others students at the center to a sit in restaurant. I got GNOCCHIS!!! During the dinner I was the mediator between the waiter and the rest of the group (it was pretty fun). Here are some fotos for you guys!!!!!
